Starting in June, Cordia welcomed three wonderful college students as virtual Summer interns. We hadn't anticipated being in a virtual environment when we started planning our internship program, but no matter the circumstances, we made sure our interns had the most meaningful and safe Summer experience at Cordia.
To ensure everyone's safety, our interns adjusted to an entirely virtual program joining daily and weekly calls via ZOOM and Go-to-Meeting, never skipping a beat. Cordia has supported remote work with laptops, conference calls, and other collaboration tools for many years, so working with our interns for the first time in a remote environment was quite fun and rewarding. Let me now introduce our three interns.
Liam is a rising Junior at James Madison University with a double major in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. He is a Northern Virginia native and a huge DC sports fan. He played soccer for the last 15 years and currently on his school's handball team. Liam joined our Government Contracting team for an internship in accounting and business advisory services.
Nicole is an incoming Sophomore at the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Analytics in the Honors College of Business. She is from Rockwall, Texas and has lived there for nine years. Nicole is fluent in Spanish and English, having lived in South America for seven years. She loves playing sports, mainly basketball and soccer. Nicole joined our Marketing team for an internship in marketing and analytics.
Thomas is a Sophomore at James Madison University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. He is from Northern Virginia and loves skateboarding during his free time. Thomas joined our Recruiting & Staffing team for an internship in recruitment strategy and analytics.
We are incredibly thankful for the patience and dedication that Liam, Nicole, and Thomas have shown while working within the remote learning environment. We appreciate all of their hard work, creative ideas, and the strong impact they have on moving our business forward.
